One of Australia's Federal Government departments is looking to engage skilled Front End Developers / User Interface Designers to contribute to the design and development of user-centric digital services. This dual-skilled role will see you working across both interface design and front-end development, driving innovative, accessible, and responsive web experiences. The successful Front End Developers / User Interface Designers will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options and hybrid work arrangements.

The successful Front End Developers / User Interface Designers will be responsible for, but not limited to

• Designing user-centric interfaces, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
• Translating designs into responsive HTML/CSS and JavaScript (ReactJS/Angular) components
• Conducting user testing and refining UI based on feedback and usability insights
• Implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards into digital services

The successful Front End Developers / User Interface Designers will have experience in the following:

• UI design and front-end development using HTML/CSS, ReactJS and/or Angular
• Strong knowledge of accessibility, usability, and visual design principles
• Experience using Figma, Adobe XD or similar prototyping tools
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and clearly communicate design rationale
