One of Australia's largest Federal Government departments is seeking multiple Java Developers & Angular Developers to join their dynamic development team in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide. The successful Java Developers & Angular Developers will be responsible for developing, deploying, investigating, designing, maintaining and supporting IT applications that support the department’s business objectives.

The successful Java Developers & Angular Developers will secure an initial contract until June 2024 with the view to be extended for 2 years and a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Java Developers & Angular Developers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Collaborating with other team members to plan, design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise software, in accordance with software development standards
• Assisting in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates and team plans
• Delivering technical solutions using practices supported by department’s ICT system design and development practices and tools.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines.

The successful Java Developers & Angular Developers must have the below experience:

• Demonstrated Java development experience, preferably within a large Government organisation
• Expertise in Java 8, Angular 8 is highly desirable
• Extensive experience in Enterprise Java development and web service technology and standards i.e. JSP, Servlets, EJB, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Web Services using SOAP/XML and REST is advantageous
• Strong knowledge and understanding of SDLC workflow tools and frameworks, systems development and testing methodologies, and the use of patterns such as micro-services and containerisation
• Experience working with and setting up CI/CD pipelines and tools
