One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Senior Security Policy Officer to support the modernisation and uplift existing policy and governance initiatives. The successful Senior Security Policy Officer will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to be extended for further 12 months at a rewarding hourly rate.

The Senior Security Policy Officer will be responsible for:

• Interpret, draft and review policy and procedural directions within specialist areas
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of wider agency policies and objectives
• Draft frameworks, policy, and procedural documents for review and publication
• Prepare draft reports, briefing papers, and discussion papers for review by Executive level employees

The successful Senior Security Policy Officer will have experience in the following:

• High level of ICT proficiency encompassing experience using standardised office software including, Microsoft Office, and Records Management platforms.
• Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed briefing and facilitation aptitude.
