One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a highly skilled and experienced Storage/Data Backup Engineer to support a project that is replacing their File and Block Storage Infrastructure across their Research Networks. You will work across a range of Storage and Data Backup technologies such as NetApp, Dell EMS and Veritas NetBackup. The role will can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide with the successful Storage/Data Backup Engineer to be offered a 6 month contract with 2 X 12 month extension options.  

The successful Storage/Data Backup Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Planning, deploying and configuring Storage and Data Backup systems
• Working as part of the Storage Refresh project team to configure and install Storage Systems
• Configuring and supporting Dell EMC Data Domain appliances
• Configuring and supporting NetApp Storage Infrastructure

The successful Storage/Data Backup Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Experience configuring and supporting NetApp StorageGRID
• Experience configuring Dell EMC Data Domains
• Ability to contribute to planning and implementations of Infrastructure Maintenance
• Experience configuring Oracle Tape Backup Hardware (Desirable)
