A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The successful Infrastructure Engineer will secure an initial 12 month contract with possible extension options and a lucrative hourly rate.  

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Implementing, managing, and retiring the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services
• Achieving team objectives and deliver intended outcomes, and supporting and managing change
• Working together with department’s technical staff in furthering the development of Data Management & Analysis Platform 

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar position, ideally within a government context
• Knowledge and understanding in designing, deploying, and maintaining Linux systems
• Experience using collaboration tools that include git, issue tracking and wikis (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
