A high profile Federal Government department is looking to engage multiple Junior Cyber Advisors / Response Officers to support its ongoing cyber security operations. The successful Junior Cyber Advisors / Response Officers will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further 2 x 12 month terms and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Junior Cyber Advisors / Response Officers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Actioning and allocating SIAM cybersecurity-related tickets and managing other cyber request queues
• Conducting proxy administration, including whitelisting websites and troubleshooting access restrictions
• Investigating and escalating Level 1 and 2 incidents within a protected SIEM environment
• Developing and maintaining cyber knowledge base content and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Providing cyber change management support, including firewall rule reviews and approvals
• Communicating with end users on cybersecurity issues, incidents and requests

The successful Junior Cyber Advisors / Response Officers will have experience in the following:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cyber security-related role
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and SIEM platforms
• Creating technical documentation, user guides and SOPs in a cyber environment
• Reviewing IT change management activities, particularly related to firewall rules
• Working with ITIL-aligned processes
• Effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
