A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Personnel Security Vetting Officer to join a highly multidisciplinary team. The successful Personnel Security Vetting Officer will be responsible for assessing information from various sources and undertaking research to support the Department security clearance processes. The successful Personnel Security Vetting Officer will be offered a 12 month contract with 1 x 12 month extension options!

The successful Personnel Security Vetting Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Perform detailed analysis and assessment and prepare recommendations in high-level written report.
• Providing policy and related procedural advice regarding security clearance requirements as outlined in the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
• Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support the department’s security clearance processes.

The successful Personnel Security Vetting Officer will have experience in the following:

• Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security) and knowledge of the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
• Experience working in Government or a similar high-security environment is desirable.
• Apply technical knowledge, expertise, and skills.
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound judgement and initiative.
