A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage multiple experienced Associate Software Developers to join a highly multidisciplinary team. The successful Associate Software Developers will deliver innovative capabilities by developing and integrating software, documenting technical processes, and assisting with testing and deployment. The successful Associate Software Developers will be offered a 15-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, open to ACT, QLD, VIC, and WA.

The successful Associate Software Developers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design, build, integrate, deliver & document software capability that meets business requirements.
• Document technical processes in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and promote bi-directional knowledge transfer within a team environment.
• Implement and maintain automated testing. Provide feedback on implementation and design aspects as required from other areas.

The successful Associate Software Developers will have experience in the following:

• Experience in development languages/frameworks such as Python, Java, Java Messaging Service, JavaScript/Typescript, J2EE, RESTful web services, Django, Ruby, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience in or knowledge of automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Docker.
• Demonstrated competence in software development, application support, release & deployment, testing, and system software tuning.
