One of Australia’s leading Federal Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join a high profile development team to achieve a steady flow of changes to various platforms on a long term engagement. The successful DevSecOps Engineer will be offered an initial 12 month contract along with a 24 month extension option partnered with a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Drive the continuous uptake of deployment automation opportunities as they present.
• Drive the uptake of observability (monitoring and alerting) in the Agency’s platform tools and capabilities.
• Support tactical development activities to prototype, enhance and validate new solutions or concepts.

• Work closely with developers, testers, and systems administrators to achieve a steady flow of changes to various platform tools and capabilities in DevSecOps pipelines using automated deployment tooling.

The successful DevSecOps Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining continuous integration / continuous deployment functionality (eg. Concourse, Jenkins, GitLab, DevSecOps tooling).
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining development, build or deployment tooling and scripts
• Excellent analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills and collaboration
• Knowledge of the secure software development lifecycle and DevSecOps practices.
