A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Data Scientist to join a long term program focusing on a major data integrity framework. The successful Data Scientist can be based anywhere in Australia. The successful Data Scientist will be offered initial 6  month contract with a 6 month extension option.

The successful Data Scientist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Identify gaps and explore improvements to existing data collection methods
• Manage data in a manner consistent with best practices and security requirements
• Leverage data and build customisable, engaging and informative data visualisations

The successful Data Scientist will have experience in the following:

• Experience in the drafting of data policies and/or frameworks within time-pressured, high profile environments.
• A proven track record of providing strategic data policy advice to senior executives and/or ministers on complex data matters.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, SQL, and programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SAS).
