One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a highly skilled ServiceNow Technical Lead to be the conduit between business and technical teams, leading and supporting work to administer and develop the ServiceNow platform. The role can be based from Canberra, Brisbane (preferred) or remote, with some ad-hoc travel to the preferred locations with flexible working arrangements also available. The successful ServiceNow Technical Lead will be offered a 3 year contract and rewarding hourly rates .  

The successful ServiceNow Technical Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

  • Lead, manage and mentor a development team, including setting priorities and allocating work for the team.
  • Develop and maintain development plans and schedules to ensure milestones are delivered are on time, within budget.
  • Apply strategic and systems expertise to design, develop, test, and implement solutions (i.e. integrations, customisations and/or enhancements) in line with business requirements and AEC frameworks and standards.
  • Develop best practices for ServiceNow development, assisting to document knowledge transfer materials and uplift agency capability.

The successful ServiceNow Technical Lead will have experience in the following:

  • Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a development team to deliver quality results on time and within budget using Agile methodology.
  • Proven hands-on technical lead experience working across the SDLC and acting as the conduit between business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and integrations using best practices and standards, including ITSM, ITOM and HR.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and customising ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, and scripts.
