A reputable Federal Government Departments is looking to engage Multiple highly skilled Service Desk Analysts to provide first and limited second level IT support as the first point of contact for all IT systems, via phone, email, onsite-support, including video conferencing and training and as directed. The successful Service Desk Analysts will be offered an Initial contract for 6-12 months with 2 x 12 month extension options.

The successful Service Desk Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to;

  • Demonstrated experience in assisting staff via phone, email, remote and onsite support with incidents and service requests within an ITIL framework.
  • Record accurate, timely and meaningful data in relation to client follow ups, requests and communication.
  • Contributing to problem rectification and fault reporting including logging, escalation and coordination with team members and other IT support areas using an ITSM tool
  • The ability to determine software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to problems. Install and configure software and hardware, and repair and replace peripheral equipment.

The successful IT Service Desk Analysts must have experience in the following;

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of desktop/network support services with the ability to handle an interrupt driven environment meeting deadlines whilst managing day to day requests.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing onsite support and working within a Service/Help Desk environment.
  • The ability to determine software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to problems. Install and configure software and hardware, and repair and replace peripheral equipment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and capacity to be self-directed in combination with working in a geographically spread team and working with staff who reside interstate.
