We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Developer) to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in supporting a business-critical enterprise platform used across a large government user base.

The successful Senior Software Engineer will secure an initial 4-month contract with 1x3 month extension option, based in ACT, with flexible working arrangements..

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Migrating legacy SharePoint integration from embedded .NET DLL / SSOM dependencies
• Analysing existing .NET application code to identify SharePoint-dependent components
• Converting document, metadata, permissions, and authentication functions to modern SharePoint REST / API
• Producing technical documentation, architectural decisions and handover artefacts

The Senior Software Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Experience with C# and .NET, including .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET 6+
• Experience migrating legacy SharePoint SSOM solutions to REST and Microsoft Graph API-based implementations
• Experience refactoring tightly coupled SharePoint code into modern API-driven services
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git repositories, PowerShell and unit testing practices
