One of Australia’s federal government departments is seeking skilled and experienced Business Analysts to join their multi-disciplinary delivery team on a 3 – 4-year program. The Business Analysts will be responsible for developing the business processes and requirements for internal system capabilities. The successful Business Analysts will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2026 with a view to further extend, which is highly likely

The skilled Business Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to;

• Understand legislation/policy, and determine/analyse programme business needs
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand, gather, and analyse their requirements and concerns, in line with the agency and programme’s business objectives.
• Identify and interpret relevant technical information and issues and inform internal delivery teams on subjects such as data standards, API requirements, information security, and cloud computing.
• Facilitate communication across business units with a range of stakeholders
• Business analyst artefacts and documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, and problem tracking
• Contribute to agile software development including user acceptance testing and other quality checking activities

The successful Business Analysts must have experience in the following;

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, including the ability to interpret legislation/policy, technical and stakeholder needs.
• Strong experience in developing business requirements, including the ability to interpret legislation/policy, stakeholder and operational needs
• Solid experience in the delivery of large programs with agile methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
• An understanding and technical experience in open-source software development, API's, data standards and cloud based solutions.
• Ability to problem solve through lateral thinking.
