One of Australia’s Federal Government Departments is looking to engage a Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering a significant ICT project through discovery/plan, build and implementation phases, delivered by an external implementation vendor. The successful Technical Business Analyst will secure an initial contract until June 2026 with the view to be extended for 6 months and a receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Produce comprehensive entity relationship diagrams that accurately represent data models for each collection management system.
• Define table groupings and domain classifications, mapping how databases provide business functions and operational processes.
• Extract, analyse, and document view logic, calculated fields, and cross system dependencies to ensure transparency of data transformations and lineage.

The successful Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Outstanding stakeholder management skills
• Agile and/or hybrid delivery experience
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines - understanding how data moves, common patterns, and constraints.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud data platforms
