A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage an experienced AI Business Analyst to support the delivery of innovative, ethical and compliant AI-enabled services. The successful AI Business Analyst will secure an initial contract until 30 June 2026 with 1 x 12 month extension option, based in Canberra with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Successful AI Business Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Eliciting, analysing and documenting business, data and AI requirements
• Translating requirements into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Defining AI-specific non-functional requirements including privacy, security, transparency and robustness
• Leading workshops, discovery sessions and backlog refinement across multidisciplinary teams
• Developing acceptance criteria and test cases for AI/ML features

The successful AI Business Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Hands-on experience supporting AI-enabled products across the Microsoft stack, including ML, NLP/LLMs, Copilot or intelligent automation
• Proven ability to write testable user stories and acceptance criteria for AI features
• Strong knowledge of responsible and secure AI practices including human oversight, explainability and bias mitigation
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Miro or similar collaboration tools
