A highly regarded Federal Government department is seeking to engage Multiple Cyber Security Engineers/Cyber Security Specialists to support its Cyber Security uplift Stream on a department wide ICT modernisation. You will play a key role in strengthening security monitoring capabilities, optimising SIEM performance, and enhancing visibility across enterprise systems in a complex, high-security environment. The successful Cyber Security Engineers/Cyber Security Specialists will be offered a contracts on a newly established ICT modernisation program.

 The successful Cyber Security Engineers/Cyber Security Specialists will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Monitoring and maintaining the SIEM platform to ensure operational effectiveness
• Designing and improving SIEM dashboards, correlation rules, alerts and playbooks
• Onboarding, structuring and optimising log ingestion from network, endpoint, cloud and application sources
• Analysing ingestion trends to improve performance and reduce storage costs

 The successful Cyber Security Engineers/Cyber Security Specialists will have experience in the following:

• 3+ years’ hands-on experience in SIEM engineering, CSOC or security operations roles
• Strong experience onboarding and pre-processing logs across diverse environments
• Designing, developing and managing SIEM platforms, dashboards and reporting
• Creating and tuning correlation rules to reduce false positives
