A high-profile Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Senior Test Automation Consultant (Senior Automated Test Engineer) to support a priority ICT program focused on delivering innovative, accessible, and resilient technology solutions. The successful consultant will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the option to extend for another 12 months, and will receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Senior Test Automation Consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Evaluating and recommending test automation technology selection and strategy.
• Designing and implementing automation frameworks for backend and UI components, with strong emphasis on accessibility.
• Setting standards for test code and automation coding principles across the team.
• Supporting in-Sprint delivery of automated tests to meet acceptance criteria.
• Writing automated tests and supporting test code.

The successful Senior Test Automation Consultant will have experience in the following:

• Expert “hands-on” technical proficiency in automation testing, frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and tools.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a senior automation testing role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong ability to work with autonomy and a proactive “can do” attitude.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for quality through automation.
