A high-profile Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support the migration and redesign of on-premises systems to AWS, and enhance the reliability, security, and robustness of existing AWS-hosted systems. The Senior DevOps Engineer will secure an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further two years!

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Architecture, implementation, and deployment of AWS operational systems, focusing on security, reliability, and availability.
• Automated deployment, testing and monitoring of systems.
• Ongoing modernisation of systems – including the migration of on-premises systems to cloud.
• Development of additional capabilities for these systems – including converting scientific research into operational systems.
• Contribute to a positive culture of continuous improvement, agile, security, and user engagement.

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience with systems designed for and hosted on cloud compute services.
• Demonstrated experience with the Linux operating system and open source tools and languages.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps culture and techniques.
• Proven experience in developing scientific applications, implementing DevSecOps, supporting high-availability systems, and migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud will be highly regarded.
