A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking Network Engineers & Network Admin Infrastructure Engineers (Multiple Roles) to support critical infrastructure and network operations within a highly secure and mission-driven environment. These roles will play a key part in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising complex network and infrastructure environments that underpin essential national security systems.
The successful Network Engineers / Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving network and infrastructure issues while providing preventative strategies.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure solutions.
- Monitoring system and network performance, availability, and security, and providing optimisation recommendations.
- Managing end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle including build, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Installing, maintaining, and upgrading network components, hardware, and software/firmware.
- Automating routine network and infrastructure tasks using scripting and standard tools.
- Integrating and optimising COTS network hardware and software solutions.
- Supporting infrastructure lifecycle activities across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
The successful Network Engineers / Infrastructure Engineers will have experience in the following:
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including protocols, architectures, devices, and topologies.
- Experience in infrastructure management, maintenance, and implementation of network changes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools, automation, and scripting for infrastructure tasks.
- Understanding of availability management, disaster recovery, and operational support processes.
- Relevant qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
