We are seeking multiple Junior Network Engineers to join a leading Federal Government program supporting critical network and infrastructure services. The successful Junior Network Engineers will contribute to the maintenance and operation of complex Cisco and Juniper networking environments while gaining exposure to large-scale secure ICT infrastructure. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate. 

The successful Junior Network Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Supporting the operation and maintenance of Cisco, Juniper and network infrastructure environments
• Monitoring system performance, reliability and security using enterprise network tools
• Assisting with incident, problem and change management activities
• Performing system administration, backups, restores and account management tasks
• Contributing to infrastructure documentation, process improvements and operational support activities

The successful Junior Network Engineers will have:

• Experience supporting Cisco and/or Juniper networking environments
• Knowledge of core ICT infrastructure and network operations
• Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Transport Controller or Splunk
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within a technical support environment
