We are seeking an experienced Senior Automated Test Engineer to join a leading Federal Government Agency delivering critical digital services. The successful Senior Automated Test Engineer will be responsible for driving quality outcomes across large-scale projects through the design, development and execution of automated and manual testing solutions. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with a further 12 month extension option and receive a rewarding hourly rate. 

The successful Senior Automated Test Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Conducting functional, automated and manual test planning, preparation and execution
• Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases using modern testing tools
• Performing REST API testing, defect management and test data creation
• Collaborating with project teams to provide early quality assurance and testing advice
• Mentoring team members and producing detailed technical testing documentation

The successful Senior Automated Test Engineer will have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Typescript, Selenium and automated testing practices
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.js frameworks
• Proven experience with Git version control and code review processes
• Strong REST API testing experience, including test design and execution
• Experience using Xray, XPath and Regular Expressions within test environments
