We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Architect to join a leading Federal Government Agency. The successful Lead Data Architect will provide strategic architectural leadership across enterprise data platforms, driving the development of target-state architectures, data roadmaps and governance frameworks while influencing key technology and investment decisions. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with a further 12 month extension option and receive a rewarding hourly rate. 

The successful Lead Data Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining domain data architecture, target states and strategic technology roadmaps
• Providing architectural leadership and assurance across programs, projects and enterprise initiatives
• Defining architecture principles, standards and governance frameworks to support data consistency and reuse
• Assessing architectural risks, dependencies and solution designs while providing strategic recommendations
• Collaborating with architects, delivery teams and executive stakeholders to shape enterprise outcomes

The successful Lead Data Architect will have:

• 8+ years\' experience delivering complex enterprise data initiatives, including senior architecture leadership experience
• Strong experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, patterns, standards and governance frameworks
• Extensive knowledge of data management, MDM, RDM, data modelling and data security practices
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic architectural direction across complex environments
• TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent architecture certifications highly regarded
