We are seeking an experienced Senior RF & Microwave Infrastructure Technician to support a major Federal Government emergency communications program. The successful Senior RF & Microwave Infrastructure Technician will support the upgrade of legacy radio networks, delivering reliable and fit-for-purpose RF and satellite communication capabilities across global locations. The role is Canberra based with regular international and remote travel and requires an active NV2 security clearance. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Senior RF & Microwave Infrastructure Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Designing, installing, integrating and modifying RF and satellite communication solutions
• Scoping, configuring, tuning and calibrating RF devices, antennas and transmitters
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex RF, microwave and communications system faults
• Monitoring system performance and recommending equipment upgrades and maintenance improvements
• Deploying and installing RF communication systems across international and remote locations

The successful Senior RF & Microwave Infrastructure Technician will have:

• 5+ years\' experience in radio communication engineering
• Strong knowledge of RF and microwave communication systems, including design, testing and optimisation
• Experience producing high-quality technical documentation, designs and maintenance plans
• Willingness to regularly travel internationally and to remote locations for deployments and support
• An active NV2 security clearance, with PV clearance highly regarded
