A leading ACT Government Directorate is seeking an experienced ICT Support Technician (Facilities Technician) to join their Technology Services Branch. This exciting opportunity offers a contract till December 2025, working within a dedicated ICT Facilities team to support critical data centre and communications infrastructure across the ACT Government.
The successful ICT Support Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Managing data centres and communication facilities infrastructure, including UPS, air conditioning, and generators
• Supporting the design and implementation of ICT facilities and environments
• Conducting daily operational and environmental checks, and managing recovery/storage processes
• Maintaining procedural documentation and assisting with ICT infrastructure support
The successful ICT Support Technician will demonstrate experience in the following:
• Proven knowledge of ICT infrastructure within data centres and communications environments
• Hands-on experience with environmental controls, UPS, backup, and recovery procedures
• Ability to manage competing tasks in a high-demand, team-based environment
• Strong stakeholder communication and organisational skills
