A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Junior & Senior GovCMS (Drupal) Software Developer to join their Digital Services Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver user-focused websites and contribute to the digital experience of millions of Australians. The successful Senior GovCMS (Drupal) Software Developer will work across key projects supporting high-profile, public-facing sites—enhancing accessibility, performance, and user engagement. The Senior GovCMS (Drupal) Software Developer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension, open to candidates in ACT, with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The successful Senior GovCMS Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
·  Develop responsive, accessible websites using Drupal 10 on GovCMS, including Twig templating and PHP theme customisation.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to improve usability, information architecture, and front-end components.
• Support content publishing workflows, ensuring compliance with WCAG accessibility and SEO best practices.
• Participate in Agile delivery, contributing to continuous improvement and high-quality digital outcomes.’

To be successful, the Senior GovCMS Developer will demonstrate:
·  Demonstrated experience with Drupal 9/10, GovCMS, and modern front-end technologies including Twig, PHP, and HTML/CSS.

• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, responsive design, and SEO best practices.
• Proven ability to collaborate with UX/UI designers to align design systems and enhance user journeys.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams, and eligible for Baseline security clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
