A high-profile Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting critical network infrastructure for a major program. The successful candidate will work with a team of experts to manage and optimise the agency’s complex ICT network environments, ensuring top-tier performance, security, and availability. This position offers a 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, alongside a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work across ACT, with flexible work arrangements available after the first six months.

The successful Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Delivering immediate support with completion of Service Request, Change, Incident, Capacity and Performance and Problem management.
• Ensuring that current and future Business Requirements are being met for the Agency.
• Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external parties, including senior stakeholders.
• Sharing technical knowledge across the team and providing support to other parts of the Infrastructure Operations organisation.

The successful Senior Network Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated broad network domain technical skills.
• Experience working in a multi-vendor environment (HPE, Cisco, FortiNet, F5, Palo Alto).
• Proven ITIL process leadership in network environment administration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with senior users.
