One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Senior Project Officer to manage diverse administrative and IT related project support tasks. The successful Project Officer will work with project teams to administer and coordinate a range of program and project activities. This will be a 12-month contract with 2 x 12 month extensions, open to candidates in ACT, with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The successful Senior Project Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Use, adapt and work across various delivery methodologies e.g. Prince2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid
• Providing secretariat support working groups and steering committees.  
• Partnering with project teams to administer and coordinate a range of program/project activities.  
• Successfully delivering under pressure, whilst dealing with ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
• Identifying and managing project changes in accordance with establishes processes and standards.

The successful Senior Project Officer will have experience in the following:

• Minimum of 5 years of Project Officer Experience
• Proven ability to support ICT projects and deliver outcomes across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Previous experience working within a Federal Government agency, preferably small to medium-sized, with a strong understanding of governance structures and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end Federal Government procurement activities, from planning and market approach through to evaluation and contract finalisation.
• Ability to apply CPRs to procurement planning, decision-making, and reporting to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
