A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their ICT team supporting mission-critical digital services. The successful candidate will play a key role in deploying, configuring, and maintaining core ICT infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, secure systems that underpin national operations. The Infrastructure Engineer  will be offered an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension, open to candidates in ACT, with onsite working arrangements

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Deploying, configuring, and optimising infrastructure solutions across Microsoft, Linux, and VMware platforms.
• Designing and maintaining server, storage, and backup systems to support critical business applications.
• Providing technical leadership, direction, and documentation to support ongoing operational excellence.
• Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure services.

To be successful, the Infrastructure Engineer will demonstrate:

• Proven experience designing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Windows infrastructure (AD, ADFS, IIS).
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL), VMware vSphere, and scripting (PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, change management, and system optimisation in Government environments.
