A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Identity and Access Engineer to join their Platform Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help maintain secure, scalable, and modern identity services that support the agency’s critical ICT infrastructure. The successful Identity and Access Engineer will play a key role in strengthening the department’s security posture and contributing to the continual improvement of identity and access management frameworks. This successful candidate will be offered an initial 6-month contract with 2x 12 month extension options, based in ACT with flexible working arrangement.

The successful Identity and Access Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Support and maintain enterprise IAM and PAM platforms, including MIM, Unify Broker, CyberArk and Secret Server.
  • Provide operational support across Windows Server environments (Active Directory, SCOM, MECM) to ensure reliability and security.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cyber security, HR and application teams to deliver secure, integrated identity services.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation while driving continual improvement of identity workflows and user experience.

To be successful, the Identity and Access Engineer will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience with IAM and PAM principles, access governance, and control technologies (e.g. MIM, Unify Broker, Entra ID).
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, PKI, ADFS, System Centre products (SCOM, MECM), and Intune.
  • Experience with cyber security tools and methodologies including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills and a commitment to knowledge sharing.
