A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking experienced Backup & Storage Server Engineers to join their Infrastructure and Operational Support Branch. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, including major server and storage refresh programs across global networks. The successful Backup & Storage Server Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and modernising enterprise environments, supporting data protection platforms, and implementing automation across Windows Server, VMware, and Nutanix systems. This position offers an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension, open to Canberra, with flexible hybrid arrangements available.

The successful Backup & Storage Server Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Implementing and supporting Commvault, Dell Data Protection, and Druva backup solutions.
• Managing and modernising enterprise Windows Server (2019/2022) environments.
• Supporting VMware and Nutanix virtualised infrastructure across a global footprint.
• Delivering end-to-end technical solutions, upgrades, and documentation.
• Collaborating with technical teams and vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure operational excellence.

To be successful, the Backup & Storage Server Engineer will demonstrate:

• Proven experience managing complex backup and storage environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud backup technologies and enterprise data protection.
• Expertise in Microsoft Server up to 2022, with VMware and Nutanix virtualisation experience.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a focus on quality outcomes.
