A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their ICT team on a major network transformation program. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a secure, high-availability network environment supporting national operations. The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be engaged on an initial contract until 30 June 2026, with a 6-month extension option, based in ACT with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provide senior-level technical expertise and escalation support across Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiGate Firewalls, Azure Cloud Infrastructure, and FortiSASE/FortiSandbox deployments
•  Deliver high-quality technical documentation, network mapping, and Visio diagrams to support secure infrastructure design and implementation
• Troubleshoot complex network and cloud connectivity issues, ensuring reliability, compliance, and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with project and security teams to maintain alignment with organisational and government ICT standards

To be successful, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will demonstrate:

• Proven experience working in secure, enterprise-scale ICT environments with strong knowledge of Fortinet and Azure technologies.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
