A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a fit-for-purpose Legal Matter Management System (LMMS) for its Legal Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a critical project from initiation through to successful implementation, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and business objectives. The successful Project Manager will be offered a 12–18 month non-ongoing contract, Canberra-based preferred (flexible arrangements considered).

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Managing the project lifecycle in line with the department’s Project Management Framework.
• Leading stakeholder engagement and facilitating workshops to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
• Overseeing risk, schedule, and budget control while delivering fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance, ensuring quality outcomes and continuous improvement.

To be successful, the Project Manager will demonstrate:

• Strong understanding of project management principles and their application in complex environments.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in change impact assessment, risk management, and governance reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills and resilience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Professional qualifications and/or experience in project management, change management, or related disciplines.
