A leading government program is seeking Senior Security Systems Engineers to support a critical cyber security uplift initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver advanced security solutions and strengthen the cyber resilience of multiple government systems. Successful candidates will act as subject matter experts, providing advice, designing, implementing, and remediating security controls across complex environments. These roles offer an initial 12-month contract with two 12-month extensions with onsite working arrangements.

The successful Senior Security Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Deliver security engineering advice and implement controls across systems from Official to Top Secret.
• Develop technical documentation including SOPs, design documents, and change requests.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate on security design and remediation activities.
• Implement security controls aligned with recognised cyber security standards and frameworks.

To be successful, the Senior Security Systems Engineer will demonstrate:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer across technologies such as AD, networking, Linux/Unix, cloud (AWS/Azure), and enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security standards and ability to apply security controls effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with experience producing technical documentation and executive briefings.
• Ability to work independently and lead others in achieving strategic objectives.
