A prominent Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced Business Architect to join a high-performing ICT function driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape strategic alignment across business capabilities, operating models, processes and technology investments while influencing major digital and organisational uplift programs.
The successful Business Architect will play a critical role in translating strategy into structured architecture artefacts, supporting investment decision-making, and enabling capability-based planning across the enterprise. This opportunity offers an initial 6-month contract with 2 x 6-month extensions, based in the ACT, with hybrid work arrangements (minimum 3 days onsite).
The successful Business Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Develop and maintain enterprise business capability models aligned to strategic priorities.
• Lead capability-based planning and assess capability maturity to identify uplift opportunities.
• Analyse end-to-end business processes and design future-state operating models and value streams.
• Provide architecture input into portfolio planning, business cases, roadmaps and investment decisions.
To be successful, the Business Architect will demonstrate:
• Proven experience in enterprise and business architecture within complex environments.
• Strong business process improvement expertise aligned to automation and digital initiatives.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, including workshop facilitation and executive communication.
• Experience supporting governance processes, architectural assurance and strategic planning activities.
