A prominent Federal Government security agency is seeking an experienced Cloud Automation Specialist (Senior Cloud & Automation Engineer) to join a high-performing technical team delivering secure and resilient cloud capabilities. The successful Cloud Automation Specialist will work across key initiatives focused on automation, cloud security, and infrastructure optimization, enhancing resilience, performance, and operational efficiency. The Cloud Automation Specialist will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options and will be based in ACT.

The successful Cloud Automation Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design and implement automated solutions for secure cloud-based infrastructure using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve automation across software, systems, networks and applications.
• Execute and support complex system testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, resilient and cost-effective cloud solutions.

To be successful, the Cloud Automation Specialist will demonstrate:

• Strong programming and scripting capability with experience in automation tools and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred) within secure or enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and perform detailed testing and quality assurance activities.
• Strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within technical teams.
