We are seeking a Security Applications and Systems Engineer to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Security Applications and Systems Engineer will play a key role in providing effective operational support for security systems and applications that underpin physical security capabilities. The successful Security Applications and Systems Engineer will secure an initial 6-month contract with 2x6 month extension options, based in ACT.

 The Security Applications and Systems Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Designing and maintaining systems supporting PSIM, EACS, CCTV/VMS, and intercom platforms
• Providing proactive and reactive support for 24x7 operational system
• Administering application databases, including backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery arrangements
• Analysing system logs and metrics to triage and resolve incidents
• Applying secure configuration, hardening, and patching practices to meet security, audit, and compliance requirements

 The Security Applications and Systems Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Technical experience engineering
• Electronic Security Systems Knowledge
• Proven capability in application architecture, database administration, and underlying infrastructure
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting system integrations
• The ability to monitor system health, analyse logs and performance data, triage and resolve incidents
