A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join a high-performing delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design, development and support of large-scale, mission-critical systems supporting millions of Australians. The successful Mainframe Developer will work across key projects delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while supporting ongoing enhancements and BAU activities. The Mainframe Developer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with extensions up to 24 months, based in ACT with hybrid working arrangements available.

The successful Mainframe Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Undertake analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of mainframe applications.
• Develop technical designs and implement complex solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Provide go-live and production support, including incident resolution and system improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in an Agile environment.

To be successful, the Mainframe Developer will demonstrate:

• High level experience in M204 and ISIS within enterprise mainframe environments.
• Strong COBOL and JCL development experience, with solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Proven ability to design, develop and maintain complex systems and integrations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and support junior team members.
