A high-profile Federal Government organisation is seeking multiple experienced Cyber Security Analysts (Senior Cyber Advisors) to join a specialised security team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to national cyber security initiatives, providing expert advice, analysis and support across complex ICT environments. The successful Cyber Security Analysts will work on critical projects to strengthen security posture, conduct assessments and deliver strategic cyber advice. These roles offer an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options and are based onsite in the ACT.

The successful Cyber Security Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Perform certification and validation activities to support system accreditation through analysis of cyber security data
• Provide expert advice on information and cyber security, including policy, risk and compliance matters
• Assess and analyse security practices to ensure alignment with standards, policies and guidelines
• Identify vulnerabilities and emerging threats, delivering actionable recommendations to improve security posture

To be successful, the Cyber Security Analysts will demonstrate:

• Strong experience in cyber security analysis, including threat identification, research and reporting
• Knowledge of Essential 8, security frameworks and ICT security certification processes (IRAP desirable)
• Ability to contribute to information security strategy and applied research activities
• Proven capability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
