A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced Drupal (GovCMS) Software Engineer to join a high-performing digital team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development, enhancement and sustainment of critical web platforms, delivering user-focused and secure digital solutions. The successful Drupal Developer will work closely with UX/UI specialists and technical teams to deliver scalable, accessible and high-quality web experiences. This role offers an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions and is based onsite in the ACT.

The successful Drupal (GovCMS) Software Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop and maintain websites using GovCMS, including Drupal theming with Twig and PHP preprocessing
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to implement effective designs, branding and user experiences
• Manage content publishing workflows, information architecture and ongoing site improvements
• Ensure adherence to security standards while proactively managing risks and issues

To be successful, the Drupal (GovCMS) Software Engineer will demonstrate:

• Strong experience designing, developing and enhancing websites on the GovCMS platform
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG requirements
• Proven ability across software development, release and deployment, testing and systems integration
• Experience delivering well-engineered solutions using modern development tools and practices
