One of Australia's highly regarded federal government departments is looking to engage an experienced Geological Data Entry Officer to join a highly skilled project team responsible for compiling and checking geological data to support several high profile projects. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract until June 2026 with the view to extend for a further 3 months!

The successful Geological Data Entry Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Compiling geological data from structured and unstructured reports and spreadsheets into templates suitable for digital analysis.
• Entering and managing data across databases including geological samples, boreholes, geochemistry, lithostratigraphy, mineral resources, geophysical surveys and geochronology.
• Undertaking basic QA/QC of geological and related data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Consulting with subject matter experts, managing repetitive data tasks and meeting required timeframes.

The successful Geological Data Entry Officer will have experience in the following:

• Geoscience qualifications/background or currently studying an earth science related degree.
• Demonstrated experience with data management applications and strong attention to detail.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work accurately with complex technical information.
• Experience working in teams and with diverse stakeholder groups, with a willingness to learn.
