A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking 2 x Lead Security Analyst Cyber Threat Analysts to join a high-performing cyber operations environment. These roles will play a critical part in analysing cyber threats, responding to incidents, and delivering threat intelligence to support national security outcomes within a highly secure and mission-driven environment.

The successful Lead Security Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Performing threat-driven analysis of system security and cyber intrusion activities.
  • Analysing and producing actionable threat intelligence and threat modelling outputs.
  • Monitoring security events and identifying potential security incidents.
  • Developing and executing incident response plans and playbooks.
  • Identifying system vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Reviewing and improving existing security controls and processes.
  • Developing procedures to monitor and analyse security events and information.
  • Supporting test and evaluation activities for cyber security systems and capabilities.

The successful Lead Security Analyst will have experience in the following:

  • Proven experience in intrusion detection and cyber threat analysis in complex environments.
  • Strong capability in threat intelligence, assessment, and threat modelling.
  • Experience managing or leading cyber security or threat intelligence teams.
  • Ability to make critical decisions on incident response and escalation pathways.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CREST, CIISEC) highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
