One of Australia's principal Federal Government departments is looking to engage skilled Data Engineers to support the ongoing development and maintenance of its national cloud-based data infrastructure. The successful Data Engineers will be offered a 12 month contract with a further 12 months of extensions and hybrid work arrangements based in New South Wales or Victoria!

The successful Data Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Delivering Level 2/3 technical support across AWS, Snowflake, Control-M, Teradata, and ETL integrations.
• Maintaining and supporting data pipelines across Cloud Data Lake, EDW, Legacy EDW, and SAS platforms.
• Developing and managing code in SQL, Python, and ETL tools within a DevOps framework using AWS services like Glue, S3, Lambda, EC2, and RDS.
• Driving operational excellence through version control, task scheduling (e.g., Control-M), documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful Data Engineers will have experience in the following:

• Extensive experience with AWS data engineering tools including Glue, S3, Lambda, EC2, and RDS.
• Proven ability to design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for scalable data workflows.
• Strong expertise in enterprise data warehousing using Snowflake and/or Teradata.
• Proficient in Python and other relevant programming languages for data engineering tasks.
• Skilled in job orchestration and BAU support using Control-M or similar tools.
