A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to join a major data transformation program & contribute to high-impact data and reporting projects supporting strategic business outcomes across the organisation. The successful Data Project Manager will be offered an initial 12 month contract with a 12 month extension, based in NSW with flexible hybrid arrangements.

The successful Data Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Coordinate and lead planning for data assets, insights products, and reporting solutions across Agile squads.
• Manage project schedules, risks, dependencies, and key decisions using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Ensure alignment with Data & Analytics standards, change management processes, and release planning activities.
• Provide delivery leadership, promote best practices, and foster collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

To be successful, the Data Project Manager will have experience in the following:

• 8–10 years’ experience delivering IT, data, and analytics projects within complex environments.
• Proficient in project management tools including MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and holds relevant qualifications/certifications.
• Familiarity with SQL, SAS, UAT processes, and accessible design principles.
