A leading Federal Government department is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a highly multidisciplinary team to lead the development of various capability plans and delivery roadmaps for all the systems capabilities supported by the branch. The successful Senior Project Manager will lead a team using strong communication skills to deliver complex projects and support future programs. The Senior Project Manager will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2026 with the view to extend for a further two years, and hybrid working arrangements based in ACT.

The successful Senior Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage complex, concurrent, and strategically important projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing resources, and addressing risks and issues.
• Providing strategic planning, mapping and modelling development;
• Developing project documentation to a high standard
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, progress reports, and lead requirements meetings, presentations, and workshops.

The successful Senior Project Manager will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Project Professional and MS Project Server
• Defining and communicating the approach for change management for a significant part of the organisation
• Ability to take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects
• Proven ability with Identifying the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups
