A prominent Federal Government is seeking an experienced Product Owner to enhance and evolve critical business systems supporting security operations across Australia and overseas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a highly collaborative technology and security environment to drive product strategy, manage the roadmap, and uplift key digital capabilities. The successful Product Owner will be offered an initial 12-month contract with a further 12-month extension option, based in Barton ACT.

The successful Product Owner will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Defining and managing the product vision and roadmap to ensure priorities align with strategic outcomes
• Gathering, analysing and prioritising stakeholder requirements to maintain a value-driven product backlog
• Leading end-to-end delivery by providing clear specifications and collaborating with IT partners for smooth execution
• Monitoring product performance, resolving roadblocks and driving continuous improvement across the lifecycle

The successful Product Owner will have experience in the following:

• Proven experience delivering products in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of Agile practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to assess value and guide decision-making.
• Effective leadership and problem-solving abilities in complex, fast-paced environments.
