A prominent Federal Government body is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the creation and continuous evolution of a ground breaking Whole-of-Government Generative AI platform. This role offers the rare opportunity to shape a secure AI assistant used by thousands across the public sector driving strategy, managing roadmap delivery, and championing innovation in a high-impact, fast-paced environment. The successful Product Manager will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 3 x 6 month extension options, based in Canberra with hybrid flexibility.

The successful Product Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Defining and communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Leading cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-value features
• Engaging stakeholders to gather requirements & prioritise the backlog
• Monitoring product performance and user feedback to drive improvements
• Overseeing change management, approvals and release coordination

The successful Product Manager will have experience in the following:

• Strong background in digital product management (Gov or digital services preferred)
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs and practical AI use in business processes
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies & product lifecycle delivery
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation & communication capability
• Ability to translate complex needs into clear, actionable product features
