A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Server Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver critical infrastructure projects in a sensitive, high-availability environment. The successful Senior Server Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure server environments, supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware platforms. This position offers an initial 12-month contract based onsite in Darwin.

The successful Senior Server Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including migration to a new AD Forest.
• Build and manage VMware virtualisation infrastructure in accordance with best practices.
• Implement security remediation and uplift measures aligned with requirements.
• Utilise monitoring and vulnerability tools to optimise server performance.
• Produce high-quality documentation, including architecture and as-built configurations.

To be successful, the Senior Server Engineer will demonstrate:

• Proven experience implementing and managing Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Strong background in Active Directory migrations within high-availability environments.
• Expertise in VMware virtualisation infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with experience in technical writing.
• Ability to work within organisational safety and quality frameworks.
