A leading Federal Government Department is seeking two experienced Cyber Advisors (Lead Cyber Security Analysts) to provide expert ICT security advice and assistance, including policy creation, project support, and risk management. This high-impact role offers the chance to work on nationally significant projects and shape security strategies for critical government systems.

The successful Cyber Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Providing cyber security advice with a focus on certification, risk, compliance, and reporting.
• Delivering strategic guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks.
• Leading technical security controls for systems used by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
• Preparing high-quality security documentation, including Risk Assessments and System Security Plans.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including other agencies and service providers.
• Preparing security artefacts for system authorisation.

The successful Cyber Advisor must have experience in the following:

• Proven knowledge of key security standards such as PSPF, ISM, and Essential 8 (mandatory).
• Minimum two years’ professional experience in ICT with proven expertise in Information Security and/or Risk Assessments.
• Experience in complex ICT environments with multiple service providers (desired).
• Cloud security experience (desired).
