A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking experienced Lead Technology Architect to guide strategic technology direction across core ICT core platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with senior stakeholders and SMEs to guide investment decisions, produce key architecture artefacts, and support technology governance. The successful Lead Technology Architect will be engaged in a contract until 30 June 2026 with a further 24-month extension option, with hybrid work arrangements based in ACT.

The successful Technology Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Lead the vision, strategy and roadmap for core infrastructure capabilities across the Department.
• Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
• Engage with SMEs to ensure architecture decisions align with organisational needs and outcomes.
• Develop and deliver key architectural artefacts, including designs, roadmaps and decision documentation.
• Ensure design assurance and governance, maintaining alignment with architecture principles and best practices.

The successful Technology Architect will have experience in the following:

• Plans and leads the identification and assessment of emerging technologies and the evaluation of potential impacts, threats and opportunities.
• Applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.
• Manages the innovation pipeline and executes innovation processes. 
• Contributes to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas. 
• Provides definitive and expert advice in their specialist area.
